TESTING FOR THE 2024 SHOW
Testing is required for all birds ENTERING the show barn including all in the primary open and junior shows, table top shows, and showmanship. If your bird has to enter the show barn to participate, it is required to have been tested. Testing requirements are as follows:
OUT OF STATE EXHIBITORS
NPIP CURRENT/ACTIVE STATUS -OR-
- Birds must originate from a flock certified Pullorum FREE -OR- tested NEGATIVE for Pullorum Typhoid within 30 days of the show
- Required to have birds tested for Avian Influenza within fourteen (14) days of show
- Required to show proof of completion of required testing at checkin by STATE VET
- To avoid delays, have your documentation ready at check-in
- ALL birds IN SHOW BARN are required to adhere to these same testing requirements
VIRGINIA EXHIBITORS
NPIP CURRENT/ACTIVE STATUS -OR-
- ALL birds must originate from a flock certified Pullorum FREE -OR- have tested NEGATIVE for Pullorum Typhoid within 90 days of the show
- Required to show proof of completion of required testing at check-in by STATE VET
- To avoid delays, have your documentation ready at check-in
- ALL birds IN SHOW BARN are required to adhere to these same testing requirements
AI TESTING for OUT OF STATE Exhibitors:
If you are in need of having your AI testing done, our VDACS rep has stated that OUT-OF-STATE exhibitors can submit eggs for AI testing.
- MUST Follow the Instructions for Submitting Eggs
- MUST Ship eggs so that the EXPECTED DELIVERY DATE is between NOV 11-15. VPBA recommends NO later than NOV 18.
- MUST Include the required Submission Form – Submitting Eggs for Avian Influenza Testing
