Membership

You are invited to become a new member, or renew your membership, in the Virginia Poultry Breeders Association. As an official member, your small investment shows you support the success of the club and the annual Fall show the club hosts. Members are eligible to participate in club-related votes and hold board or district positions when open and nominated.

The Virginia Poultry Breeders Association does not require you to personally participate in the exhibition of poultry or to own poultry at all. Membership is for anyone who supports the passion for poultry, the aim of providing a quality and reliable annual show, and a community that promotes breeding and exhibition of standard-bred poultry.

What is the difference between a Junior and Family membership?

Juniors age 17 and under are free to join. Junior only membership being free includes the Junior member but it doesn’t offer any financial help to the club itself.

Family membership is an option for those who have a Junior that participates but also wants to offer that little bit of financial support to the club’s mission. The parent or guardian do not have to participate in poultry exhibition or own poultry themselves. Opting to register as a Family membership for just $25/year, versus the free Junior Only membership, is simply a way to offer a little bit of financial support to the club whose mission is one that we share.
